Hot, no wait, i mean HOT summer days are upon us and the fluke are heading to the deep waters looking to cool off. There are a few keepers still hanging in the bays but if you want to improve your dinner table head to the reefs.
On the surf fishing front we are seeing large pushes of cow nose rays. Which while not much for table fare they do give you a bit of a rush when they start smoking the drag. I have also heard of fluke taking metals and jigs bounced in the surf line.
Offshore action has been on fire. Boats hitting the canyons have been coming home with flags flying high. Yellowfin, White and Blue Marlin and a few Sailfish have been brought boatside. If you are pulling up short the inshore ridges have been holding Mahi that have been eager to take trolled offerings.
Remember we want to know about your catch. Take a moment to tell us about it on the message board.
until next time....
tight lines and a screaming drag.
